Andy is also active as a Composer writing music for Film, Television and Theatre productions, and music for Piano, Percussion and World Music Ensembles as well as writing and arranging for Jazz, Rock and Pop bands. His music has been recorded and published as well as broadcast by the BBC among other media.



Andy has also worked as an examiner for the Guildhall school of Music and Drama and Trinity College London and has written study pieces and examination syllabuses for the major music examination boards. He is retained as a consultant to the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).

He is a visiting lecturer in Ethnomusicology and teaches on the specialist secondary music PGCE at Bath Spa University, UK.

He was elected as a member of the Royal Society of Musicians in 1994 and was elected by his fellow musicians to serve on the National Executive Committee of the Musicians’ Union from 1994 to 2000 and again in 2008 for a further four years.
